Designing a Custom Ketubah

A custom ketubah is a one of the most lasting elements from the wedding ceremony. Your dress is gorgeous, but lasts for the day and in pictures. The flowers create the stunning decor and bring life to the chuppah, but are gone the next day. But your ketubah is an original work of art that that tells your story and one you will cherish for the rest of your lives. 

A custom ketubah is your way to infuse your ceremony with meaning and personal connection. These meaningful elements are incorporated into an intricate papercut ketubah that will elevate the walls of your new home together.

Design:

The process begins with a brainstorming session to discuss your style and elements of your story that you want to incorporate into your unique design. I then develop design ideas and review the drawing with you. I invite your open and honest feedback to help me perfect the drawing until you absolutely love the design. Once you approve the final version of the ketubah drawing, I hand-cut your design using high-quality, archival paper and ink. 

Text:

Together with your officiant, you find a text that is right for you. I can work with any text you choose. If none of the existing text suit you can always write your own!  A proof of the text will be sent for final approval.

Packaging and shipping:

Since you need to sign the ketubah at the wedding ceremony, I pack your ketubah unframed between two hard boards to protect the delicate papercut. Your ketubah is shipped via express international shipping. 

Display and Framing: 

Your ketubah will arrive temporarily mounted to a hard board for you to display at the wedding and to protect the artwork until you can have it framed. Ask the wedding hall or your wedding planner for an easel to display the ketubah under the chuppah.
